There comes a time when we all have to decide what path to take in life. Recently I thought that if I chose to take one path it meant I wouldn't be able to go down the other. After my catastrophe of an internship last summer I was sure that working in a corporate environment wasn't for me, but now I am not so sure.

As many of you know I am studying computer science and have been working as a developer this summer at top Fortune 500 company. Many people would look at me and think WOW, how impressive is she! Studying computer science and starting her second internship at a huge company. From the outside it seems impressive but on the inside I was completely torn. I wasn't sure if I should put all my apples in being a programmer; something I am good at, can make (really) good money from and admittedly enjoy, or if I should solely focus on becoming a fashion blogger; my true passion in life.

After starting my internship and loving it thus far, and also growing my social media presence I realized something, I CAN BE TWO THINGS! Like shit no duh Krysta! Well it may seem like the easiest realization to come to but it really wasn't. Living in a corporate world and a creative one at the same time can be tricky. It's a balancing act but I am so happy to realize that I can do it. It's not impossible. You can teach grade school and be a Youtuber, you can manage a bank and be a digital influencer and you can be a computer scientist and be a fashion blogger. Stop thinking you have to choose one over the other, DO BOTH!

I love blue and white stripes for spring. I am glad I found this cute little street to take photos on. I love finding new places in town to take photos and I think will quickly become one of my favorites. I consistently try to find solid colored walls to take my photos in front of and consistently fail so I thought that it time to embrace the fact that my town has more tree lined streets than it does big "cool" buildings with walls to match.
I paired my body suit from Windsor with a pair of old distress jean shorts and of course my favorite wedges. This look is perfect for going out on the town without having to put in too much work. Add a sun hat and some flat-forms and wear it to brunch with your best girlfriends!

The more classes I finish the more I realize that the real world is right around the corner. I got to have a peek into this so called "real world" last summer when I was interning as a Java developer. The money was great but I won't say I didn't seriously contemplate quitting once or twelve times. Spending my days in a cubicle working with people I couldn't quite connect with left me feeling out of place and lost. I didn't know if switching my major was going to be as worth it as I had previously thought. I know I've come to a point where finishing my degree is clearly the best choice at this point regardless of whether or not I actually pursue a career in the field of Computer Science but I also know I don't want to spend my life in a cubicle.

Recently I have been looking into entrepreneurship and opening a digital store front that would go along with the aesthetics of ThisIsWore. This is just a thought at this point but may be reality in the next year or so. I think this is the way my life needs to go. Maybe I'll become a freelance web developer or programmer. Who knows?

     This look brings about a weird nostalgia. I'm not sure what it is about it. Maybe it's the classic white tank top or the bandanna used as a neck accessory, but I feel like I need to be whisked away to the 1950's. An open top convertible, wind blowing through the fro, would be the perfect place to show off this look.





I think as a fashion blogger sometimes we think our outfit must have a lot of "look" or be incredibly fancy when sometimes all we need are the things we wear everyday. Not the looks we throw up as #OOTDs, claiming we ran errands all day in 5 inch heels and skin tight pants, the real ones we wear on days we don't take pictures. I have set a goal for myself to not spend any money on new clothes until I've effectively styled all the ones I already own. Forcing creativity and self restraint.
